Winnipeg filmmaker Elise Swerhone directed this probing documentary about the lives of young dancers at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
TuTuMuch tells the story of nine young dancers enrolled in RWB's intensive summer program. The determined young ballerinas push their bodies to their limits, accepting pain and mental anguish as a possible ticket to a future on centre stage.
The film just won the the Best Documentary Award at the Chinese International Children's Film Festival. It is currently touring Europe where it has been receiving raves reviews.
