you might be more interested in seeing it outdoors, at a beautiful
monastery, performed by a theatre group.

When: June 7-9 at 7 p.m.
Where: Cinematheque, 100 Arthur Street

District and catching Fight Like Soldiers at the Cinematheque.

looks a bit intimidating on the outside but is completely delightful
once you're sitting in the comfy seats in the dark waiting for a movie
hand-picked by a film group with great taste.
will be a heavy watch, but you won't feel like you wasted $8, which
can't always be said for visits to some of Winnipeg's bigger theatres
(I'm looking at you, Fast & Furious 6).
What: FAMILY - Kidsfest featuring Fred Penner
When: June 7-9, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: The Forks
Cost: $16 each or $56 for a family of four
Fred Penner will hit the stage at the annual Kidsfest at The Forks on Sunday.
you have kids? Then this is perfect for you! Kids is right in the name!
Don't have kids? Well, Fred Penner will be there, and I think that's
really all that needs to be said.
You can get
your face painted, take in a swinging trapeze workshop and even check
out something called Splash 'n Boots, which frankly, sounds amazing.
going to be sunny and beautiful on Sunday, so take advantage of the
nice weather and let someone do all the work entertaining your kids for
at least a few hours.
For adults: Fred Penner plays at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday. Enough time to take in the show and then go get some sandwiches.
What: OUTDOORS - Free provincial parks, fishing weekend
When: June 7-9
Where: Any provincial park in Manitoba
wait for this every year. It's the one time you can breeze by those
park people collecting cash at those weird toll-booth kiosks at about 15
kilometres per hour instead of stopping and rifling through every
compartment in your car for the change necessary to go enjoy the beach.
