ManyFest hopes to bring 30,000 people downtown to Broadway Ave. for activities that cater to the whole family.
An expansion of last year's Lights on Broadway, this year's festival incorporates events as wide-ranging as a wine and cheese festival, starting at noon on Friday; the Broadway Farmers' & Artisans" Market; the Kids Zone for the younger set, plus an outdoor movie, Toy Story 3.
There's the "10 & 10 & 5 Race" and Ciclovia, for those who want to get active. You are encouraged to walk, jog or cycle all the way from Assiniboine Park to The Forks - with lots of activities to enjoy along the way.
Musicians and performers will be on two stages at Memorial and Carlton all through Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday evening features the Big Dance on Broadway - actually two big dance parties. Plus the annual lighting of the elm trees on Broadway. You can help warm things up by carrying your own candle.
