Since the sun is really supposed to be shining on Saturday, my top suggestion is to get outside!
#1 The Sri Sathya Sai Baba Centre of Winnipeg is sponsoring a unique walkathon "Walk for Values" in Winnipeg on May 15th, 2011. It will be held at the Forks from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. It is planned to meet under the Canopy at the Forks at 1:00pm.
The sponsors of this event DO NOT ask the participants to pledge a donation but request them to pledge to practice a human value through the year, (Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Non-Violence, and Love). Everyone is invited to join with their families and friends"
#2 If you don't want to walk, how about taking in some amazing moves by the Peking Acrobats. The troupe performs with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra Friday to Sunday.
#3 And last, but not least, Royal Canoe plays the nuna(now) festival. The band plays at the Royal Albert Tuesday night (I like to think that the weekend could extend that far) along with an Icelandic outfit called Miri.
