Maria Aragon is remarkably down to earth for a girl who, at age 10, shared the stage with Lady Gaga and made the top ten most watched youtube videos in 2011.
Just short of her 12th birthday now, Maria has released her first original song, You Are Enough, produced by legendary producer Narada Michael Walden. Walden has worked with the likes of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross.
On June 26, CBC-TV news reporter Kenzie Broddy visited Maria Aragon in her home in Winnipeg.
"Sometimes people underestimate the youth and think we can't do as much as adults can," Aragon pointed out, "but I believe in the generation and I'm really proud to be representing them."
Maria Aragon keeps a journal in which she notes her thoughts, song lyrics and life goals.
Here are five of Aragon's personal goals:
1. To make a charity
2. To have my uncle meet Paul McCartney
3. To buy my parents a new house
4. To be able to retire my dad
5. To meet all my fans around the world
With a Euopean and North American tour in the works, Aragon may very well have the chance to do that.
