Manitoba musicians will be lighting the candles on Canada Day at The Forks.
The musical celebrations on July 1 begin with the soulful country sounds of Sol James. Roots rockers Sons of York will also taking the stage, along with award-winning singer/songwriter Don Amero, eclectic pop band Flying Fox and the Hunter Gatherers, and songstress Jodi King.
The Lytics will headline the Canada Day show at the Forks along with WSO (CBC)
The Lytics will join forces with the Winnipeg Symphony for a one of a kind finale. All that happens before the fireworks begin.
This
year the music extends to two other stages. You'll be able to catch
everything from the latin grooves of Trio Bembe to the rootsy sounds of
Juno Award winners Nathan and pop/rockers Modern Romantics.
Canada Day at The Forks is a free, family friendly event.
