All week long SCENE has been bringing you made-in-Manitoba holiday songs. We end our series with the youngest (and hands down the cutest) carol from Winnipegger Kaya Schultz.
These days with shows such as Canada's Got Talent and American Idol there's no shortage of young artists willing to perform. Just think of singer Jackie Evancho and of course the ones who have grown up, like Nikki Yanofsky and Justin Bieber.
Well, Kaya Schulz is a young Winnipeg girl who loves music and singing. When she was three years old she recorded a version of the well known Christmas song
I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. She and her dad and mum would often go to personal care homes to entertain the residents.
On this song, Kaya was accompanied by her dad Myron Schulz on guitar. Kaya's grandmother proudly dropped off the recording to CBC this week in honour of the season.
