The Wailin' Jennys are made up of multi-instrumentalists Ruth Moody, Nicky Mehta and Heather Masse and when these three women sing their rich harmonies you instantly get goosebumps.
They first recorded Deeper Well, the folk classic by Emmylou Harris, back in 2004. Their haunting and compelling rendition still sticks with listeners today.
So they decided to put it on their latest release, Bright Morning Stars, which is now in the running for a Western Canadian Music Award, held in Whitehorse on October 23.
