FLO (Tonya Randell)
Music heals, or so they say.
FLO spends her days in the hospital as a physiotherapist, helping patients recover from surgery.
But by night she is blazing on stage, belting out numbers with a voice that has landed her opening gigs with a who's who of the R&B world, including Lauryn Hill and Boyz II Men.
While FLO recognized she had some stellar vocal chords at an early age, the thought of being a professional performer seemed like a pipe dream.
She pleased her parents by doing her post-graduate work in physiotherapy, but always had that nagging feeling that she was made to perform.
FLO couldn't deny that music is her own therapy.
FLO's music now spills over into her regular-paying job, as her patients and co-workers are often serenaded as she walks down the hospital corridors.
At night, the stage calls and FLO answers, roaring out soulful notes and making it seem easy.
