From Churchill, Evan Reeve is the epitome of groove. His songs move you, make you dance - and most importantly - make you think. Evan's music is a cohesive mix of catchy pop riffs, reggae, Latin music and soul; a combination influenced by heroes like Bob Marley, Neil Young and Tracy Chapman.
A self-taught guitarist, Evan also has a background in music production and in 2007 he graduated from the Audio Engineering and Production program at the Pacific Audio Visual Institute in Vancouver. Evan made the top 100 at the 2008 Canadian Idol competition, and he was one of a handful of musicians chosen from across the country to participate in AMP Camp, a professional development retreat for musicians presented by the Canada Council and MARIA.
In fact, Evan was accepted and attended AMP Camp in both 2007 and 2008. Evan was also a Young Performer at this year Winnipeg Folk Festival and was recently selected to attend "Diverse as this land" a Vocal retreat in Banff Alberta and was invited to perform at the APTN televised event "rising stars" which is to air later this year. Evan has just released his first EP with the help of producer Arun Chaturvedi @ neuroBurke Studios.
