Teens rock Up To Speed for their chance to be named Manitoba's best high school rock band

In 2005, Devon Gillingham decided to start up a family band with himself on vocals and guitar, his dad Simon on drums, his mom Shelley on bass, and his sister Dallas on vocals. After one 3 hour recording session at Private Ear Studios, the band's first single "Go Back" was recorded. The band then started to pick up a few shows around Winnipeg.
 

Since the recording of "Go Back"  Kobalt's sound has come a long way.  The band has written, recorded, produced and released seven original songs,  the latter of which have been done with Jason Gordon at Winnipeg's Studio11. The band continues to write and perform original music.
