The historic Met Theatre is reopening its doors as the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre. Here's a sneak peek at the new interior, including a gracious lobby, elegant restaurant and bar and gorgeous details on the ceiling and railings.
The building originally opened as the Allen Theatre in 1919. It was acquired by Famous Players in 1923 and was renamed the Metropolitan Theatre. The Met continued playing first-run movies until the 1980s and has remained vacant until now.
Canad Inns took it over in 2006. The refurbished theatre's grand opening is November 30.
