She handed in her glittery shoes, and sang "Over the Rainbow" one last time.
Winnipeg's Colleen Furlan was eliminated from CBC-TV's reality show, Over the Rainbow. And is no longer in the running for the role of Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber's stage adaptation of The Wizard of Oz.
It was Furlan's first time up for elimination, and she competed against AJ Bridel of Kitchener, Ontario. The three judges chose to save Bridel from elimination, leaving her to compete with the two other finalists, Danielle Wade and Stephanie La Rochelle. But Furlan will remain in Toronto to watch the finale and see which or her former competitors will wear the ruby slippers.
Tickets for the Webber's stage production are already on sale, performances start December 20 at the Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto.
The winner of Over the Rainbow will be revealed on November 5 on CBC-TV.
