Travis Bernhardt is a charmingly geeky prestidigitator.
Travis Bernhardt is a charmingly geeky prestidigitator. His greatest trick may be the way that he manages his relationship with the audience, teetering from confidential to mocking while maintaining a constant tension regarding his ability to successfully bring off his next sleight of hand. It's a mostly successful illusion.
His tricks are awesome to behold. When you can see them. Maybe my aged eyes were not up to the task. The linking rings trick is cool but the props are so small it's hard to appreciate. Either the props need to be bigger or the lights need to be brighter in order to get the full scope of his impressive work.
The patter gets a little tired. After being warned for the third time that he has never attempted this trick before or he's working with untried props, his protestations become a little disingenuous.
In the end, with all of my reservations, Unpossible!
