"Timeless” is so beautifully performed that you should see it whether or not you enjoy watching dance.
is so beautifully performed that you should see it whether or not you enjoy watching dance.
Kathleen Hiley, Arlo Reva and Robyn Thomson Kacki, along with their four very skilled guest performers, make magic in this tight, technically impressive 50-minute performance that has a gorgeous range of emotion.
It's hard to believe how well it shifts between a parody of bravado and pomp into a solo piece featuring Hiley wracked with so much pain that it nearly makes you weep.
The choreography by Gaile Petursson-Hiley and Stephanie Ballard is expressive and pleasurable in its pulsing movements and creative use of props (specifically chairs and parasols... it is magic what they do).
Surprisingly, there are laugh-out-loud moments, something I have never encountered in a dialogue-free dance show. That alone should make you curious.
Go see Timeless
before time is up.
