Company: The Horrible Friends, Winnipeg, MB
Venue: 15 - Studio 320
It’s a bit of a bait-and-switch for anyone expecting a hockey fuelled comedy romp, but the two comedians are funny enough to be worth the price of admission.
Don't be fooled: despite its name, Quest for the Cup
has little to do with Canada's national pastime. Instead, hockey serves as the framework on which to hinge an improv competition between players Luke Falconer and Shawn Kowalke.

If you've been to a local improv night or seen an episode of Whose Line
, you'll know what to expect. With settings, people and themes suggested by the audience, Falconer and Kowalke take what they're given and run with it.
While their enthusiasm is infections and their performances are entertaining, the show may have been better served by a shorter running time. These are the two funny guys you might run in to at a party - hilarious for a while, but you wouldn't want to spend a whole evening with 'em.
