The script and the achievement of an ethereally charged Victorian parlour were both a bit thin.
Miss Mumford's Marvelous Mummy Unwrapping was not as marvelous as I had hoped.
All the trappings were there. The tea and cookies served by three maids in real china cups was a lovely touch. The company obviously went to great pains to prepare the centrepiece, a prone figure wrapped in gauze that had apparently been used in a previous life for an entirely different kind of stimulation.
Nevertheless, the script and the achievement of an ethereally charged Victorian parlour were both a bit thin.
