The Good Hustle
"The Good Hustle" is one of the most absurd performances I have ever seen.
is one of the most absurd performances I have ever seen. It's an intensely physical comedy without any semblance of a plot.
The play starts out with Parry and Sekiya playing the two most annoying kids on your little league team, giving the audience long, drawn out explanations of knuckle balls and lemonade. From there the two stage various short skits that are increasingly bizarre.
I had no idea what I was watching or why I was watching it, but I just had to laugh at the weirdness. The actors did "go to second base" with each other in one particularly comedic sketch, however, overall the play was a strike out.
That being said, with some refining I think this play could actually be a home run, if abstract theatre is your cup of tea.
