American playwright Liz Duffy Adams' 2004 post-apocalyptic tale is a
paean to the enduring power of theatre - so what better place to stage
it than a Fringe festival?
Rozetta Stone (Nan Fewchuk) and her companion Dog (Ray Strachan) travel
the wastelands of what was once America. Their aim is to walk with their

It is, of course, a hopeless goal - but Adams' play is very much a story
of how the "rare and precious pearl" we call entertainment can provide
hope in even the darkest situations. And things become dire indeed for
Rozetta and Dog when they encounter fellow vaudevillians Vera Similitude
(Megan McArton), the Truth Teller, and her companion Jo Jo the
Bald-Faced Liar (Charlene Van Buekenhout).
At the same time, they're
pursued by flesh-eating scavengers (Jeff Strome and Delf Gravert), who
speak in a hilariously profane blend of f-bombs and heightened

Director Kevin Klassen's professional-calibre production moves at a
