If you don’t know what a 20-sided die is, you’ll have a blast. If you do, you might wet yourself.
I guess I should start by apologizing to my dungeon master Dave. He works hard to inflict misery on my party, and seemed genuinely disappointed when we beat that Mindflayer. He's a good DM.
But I'm going to go ahead and say it: DnD Improv
might be even more fun than the real thing. A who's who of improv players dressed up in ridiculous costumes, making up a fantasy story as they go and deciding pivotal moments with giant 20-sided dice--what's not to like?
If you don't know what a 20-sided die is, you'll have a blast (my mother confirms this). If you do, you might wet yourself.
It's impervious to review: Toby's Hughes' skill at straight funny kills me every time. Sam McLean's Finger Lickin' stole the show. Lee White! Stars, stars... it'll all bounce off their Plus-Three Cloak of We're-All-Having-A-Great-Time, Man!
It's something you can only find at Fringe festivals: nightly serialized improv with a party-like atmosphere. People will come, in their "We need to talk about your crits" T-shirts, whatever I say.
It's awesome. As, I'm sure, will be the punishment that Dave devises for my disrespecting the game. Better polish my dice.
