Known for Phone Whore and Slut (R)evolution, Cameryn Moore has been criticized for talking about things most of us can't relate to. But in power | play, her extensive sexual resume isn't the really focus. The human sexuality in all of us is. She paints pictures of various sensual encounters -- many of which are highly descriptive -- but manages to emphasize the relatable ideas of flirting, rejection and personal choice.
Moore asks the audience to make decisions along the way, which dictates what topics she moves into next. She does this while wearing nothing but cowboy boots. But don't let this scare you. Despite asking viewers to participate, like a respectful lover, Moore doesn't force you to do anything you don't want to. Her options are safe and let's face it: she's the one who's naked, not you. So what do you have to lose?
Not everyone's going to feel comfortable at this show; there's skin, kink and audience interaction. But Moore's thoughtful performance is a combination of theatre and motivational sex therapist. She wants to encourage people to make conscious decisions around their sex lives, to experiment, to play.
