In the spirit of Canada Reads, Canada's biggest battle of the books, CBC Manitoba is proud to present Manitoba Reads, in partnership with McNally Robinson Booksellers and the Winnipeg International Writers Festival.
Manitoba Reads is a friendly competition that involves you, the audience, to help choose a book for all of us to read. Here's how it works:
A long list of 12 Manitoba authored books was established and voted upon until August 12. The four books that received the most votes will then be debated by a panel of literary pros in front of a live audience on Friday, September 21 as part of the launch for THIN AIR 2012. After the debate, voting will re-open for the remaining four books, with the winning title being announced on the Weekend Morning Show on Sunday, September 23.
Once we review the comments submitted, one lucky person will win some sweet swag, including McNally Robinson Gift Cards, THIN AIR Festival Passes and CBC merchandise.
Thanks to all who participated.
