Jon Paul Fiorentino grew up in Winnipeg. In Transcona to be precise.
those early days Fiorentino has authored nine books and become the
editor-in-chief of Matrix Magazine, he teaches at Concordia University
and writes a column for Huffington Post.
This week Fiorentino, now living in Montreal, is a featured writer at the Winnipeg International Writers Festival. SCENE heard that he's fond of his hometown, so we invited him to wax nostalgic.
He came back at us with the top 5 places he persevered in Transcona. Hear Jon Paul Fiorentino on Wednesday September 25 at the 'Nooner' in
Carol Shields Auditorium at Millennium Library and on the mainstage at
MTYP that evening.
