In the last four working days before the Oct. 25 civic
election, the four candidates vying to be mayor of Winnipeg will be on CBC Radio
One 990.

As per election rules, there will be no airtime for candidates on election
day, Oct. 25, until after the polls close.
Oct. 25: Civic Election 2006 on CBC Radio One
Join CBC Radio One 990 from 8 until 10 p.m. on Oct. 25 for live, comprehensive
coverage of Civic Election 2006.
Information Radio's Terry McLeod will host the program from Winnipeg City
Hall as soon as the polls close at 8 p.m.
Joining Terry to bring immediate results will be Margaux Watt, host of CBC
Radio One's afternoon program Up to Speed.
And to help analyse results, our guests will be:
- Former Winnipeg Mayor Bill
Norrie.
- Jino Distasio, director of the University of Winnipeg's Urban Institute.
- Lawyer
and former city councillor Lawrie Cherniak.
- Businessman Joe Bova, who once ran
against Sam Katz and Glen Murray to become a councillor in the Fort Rouge ward.
CBC Radio reporters will bring us the stories from candidates' campaign headquarters,
and we will hear in person from the winners and losers as the night unfolds.
