Aboriginal people
Manitoba has the largest per capita Aboriginal population in Canada. And Aboriginal people in this province are three times more likely to be living in poverty than the rest of the population. More than one-third of Winnipeg’s estimated 70,000 Aboriginal people live in poverty.
