Many voters are familiar with the platforms of the parties running in their ridings - but how much do you know about the candidates as individuals?
CBCNews.ca teamed up with Red River College's Creative Communications program to ask more personal questions of each of Manitoba's 75 election candidates.
Which candidate has a couple of BMWs in the garage? Who roams the range on horseback? What are their beefs with Canada's political system, and which books are gathering dust on their nightstands?
The students - sometimes employing dogged persistence - asked the same six questions of every candidate, all on-the-spot, giving the candidates no opportunity to mull over answers in advance.
Their answers provide a refreshing, revealing - and sometimes surprising - peek beyond the usual party lines.
