Guidelines

Community Calendar guidelines:

  • Keep it short: no more than 50 words in length.
  • Indicate ticket prices or other charges, as well as the start and end dates and times.
  • Notices must be submitted at least 10 days before the event.
  • Let us know in plenty of time if you have to cancel your event.
  • Although we work hard to get community information out to the public, it is impossible to guarantee that every message will make it online.

Phone message guidelines:

  • Preparation: Think of it as a short (approx. 30 seconds) and friendly invitation to your neighbour. Start by introducing yourself and then describe the event. Tell listeners where it is (building address and name of city or town), when (day and date), time and ticket information if needed.
  • A telephone number to call for more information must be given out. [Helpful idea: Write the phone number on paper as you are saying it. This will give listeners time to remember it or write it down.]
  • Phoning it in: Call the Radio Noon listener line at 204-788-3797. Listen to the prompts and record your message. Please remember to speak slowly and clearly.
  • Please phone in the message at least 10 days in advance of the event.
  • Airplay depends on availability of airtime and the number of messages received.
  • Let us know in plenty of time if you have to cancel your event.
  • Although we work hard to get community information out to the public, it is impossible to guarantee that every message will make it to air.
