Teresa Doyle - ECMA Winner Releases CD

Teresa Doyle is one of those musicians who simply doesn't stop. She just got back from the North american folk alliance conference and the ECMA's where she was recognized with a 25th anniversary award.

On top of that....she has a brand new cd...."Song Road" out now...ready to promote.  It's a wonderful collection of all the different styles of music that make Teresa the talented performer that she is. And many of the songs are a testament to her travels and her life. Teresa Doyle dropped by the studio.

Tim Chaisson - ECMA Winner

To say the last few days have been a whirlwind of excitement for Island singer songwriter Tim Chaisson....would be a huge understatement. He was featured prominently in a number of shows and was nominated for several awards. He WON an ECMA for Roots/Traditional Solo Recording of the year for "The other side." On top of that he has had countless media interview and lots of chances to meet not only with fellow musicians but with lots of fans.  Angela Walker caught up with Tim in Halifax, just before he caught a plane for his next big adventure.

Searchlight Top 5 - Amy & Rachel Beck

This week, we revealed your Top five local contenders in the CBC Searchlight competition. We're on the hunt for Canada's best new musical act. YOUR votes will decide who will represent our region in the national Searchlight contest. Amy and Rachel Beck are a singer-songwriter duo from Stratford. They are one of your top five local contenders vying for a spot in the national Searchlight competition. Amy and Rachel joined us in the studio.
