Spay AidPEI's Program - June 8th Fundraiser

SpayAidPEI.jpgSpay AidPEI is a non-profit organization offering a spay and neuter assistance program for those who can't afford to pay for these services. So far SpayAid has covered the cost of spaying of neutering 1400 cats and dogs. Karen Mair spoke with Joy Tremblay, President of Spay AidPEI, about their June 8th fundraiser. It's your chance to have a great dinner, pick up some art,  and help animals.

Dessert and Daffodils - A Tasteful Fundraiser

DessertDaffodilsMS.jpgA student at the Culinary Institute has paired her talent with a cause she feels strongly about. Jessica Holmes has created a dessert as a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. Now Dessert and daffodils has spread to other restaurants in Charlottetown. Karen Mair visited the Culinary Institute to talk to Jessica Holmes and Claire Nantes.

Easter Seals Launch - Ambassador Paxton Cole

ES Ambassador Paxton Coley.jpgToday is a very special day as the Easter Seals Campaign was launched for PEI. At a rotary luncheon there were several previous ambassadors as well as the many organizations that work together to support kids with disabilities on the Island. Paxton Cole is this the 2013 ambassador.  She's 10 and is in Grade 5 at Queen Elizabeth Elementary School in Kensington. Karen Mair talked with Paxton and her parents Patricia and Ewen.
