Illustrator/Artist Ben Stahl - A Day in The Country

BenStahlMainstreetPEI.jpgBen Stahl is an internationally reknown illustrator and artist whose work brought him to PEI 24 years ago. He came here to do research for the covers of Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel. He's retraced some of those steps for an exhibit of paintings called A Day in The Country. Karen mair dropped by for a visit with Ben Stahl. You can see the paintings on exhibit at  Details Past and Present in Charlottetown, until June 15th.

Shandi Mitchell - The Disappeared

ShandiMitchellTheDisappeared.jpgNova Scotia filmmaker Shandi Mitchell is terrified of the ocean. Yet for two weeks she went out every day on a barge on the open water to make her latest film "The Disappeared," follows six fishermen as they struggle to return to shore after their vessel is lost at sea. It will be screened at the 2013 Island Media Arts Festival.

Lionel F Stevenson - Fifty Years of Photographs

LionelFStevenson.jpgPEI Photographer Lionel Stevenson and Confederation Centre Gallery Curator Pan Wendt discuss Lionel's lifetime of photographs. This weekend, Lionel will be giving an art talk and launching the new book Lionel Stevenson - Fifty years of Photographs. The book is co-published by the Gallery and Acorn Press.
