Eddy Quinn - CBC's SongQuest

EddyQuinnCBCMusic.jpgHe's made the cut and is hoping to score in the top ten. We talked to musician Eddie Quinn about making the top 50 in CBC's Hockey Night in Canada SongQuest.

It's between him and 9 other songwriters, and Eddy could still use your vote. We reached him earlier and I asked Eddy why he wanted to enter SongQuest. Here is a link to Eddy's song "City of Champions", and you can vote there too.

Forever Strong - PEI 2014 Song Search

2014SongSearch.jpgWe've got a new tune for you to carry with you through the decades. It's the official theme song for 2014. Out of 79 entries, they pared the list down to TEN, a very impressive list of ten finalists in the PEI 2014 song search. That list included Tim Chaisson, Gordie Belsher, Paper Lions, Colour Code and many more.

But today Premier Robert Ghiz revealed the winning song, which will be the theme song for 2014 celebrations. "Forever Strong," was written by the husband-and-wife team of Mike Ross and Nicole Bellamy.
