Heart and stroke

Caught in the Time crunch. Survey results published by the Heart and Stroke Foundation show many Canadians don't feel they have the time to lead a healthy lifestyle.Kerry Campbell talked about the importance of finding the time with a couple guests, Barb Campbell is with the School of Nursing at UPEI, she's also a volunteer with Heart and Stroke and she's a stroke survivor. And Kathy Dingwell is a survivor of multiple heart attacks.

Aviva Fund

The Aviva Fund provides money for community projects and individuals across the country. A group of volunteers in the Evangeline region are hoping they can win enough votes to qualify them for more money to support and expand the Healing Hearts Youth Camp at centre Goeland. Karen Mair spoke wiith Darlene Arsenault, one of the volunteers involved in the Healing Hearts Youth Camp.

Unicef

Children used to go door to door with black and orange boxes collecting for Unicef. Now people are being asked to go on-line to support UNICEF a special effort is being made to help the millions of primary aged children around the world who are not getting an education.Karen Mair spoke with Sue Larkin , UNICEF Canada's Director of Community Giving.
