We all need a creative outlet ... some find it through work, others through hobbies or extra-curricular activities. An art show in Charlottetown represents the creativity of some of PEI's medical community. Karen Mair paid a visit to The Guild as some physician/artists were hanging the exhibit. They took some time out to talk about Right Brain-Released.

Islander in Japan

Heather Doiron is in Ngoya - about 500 kms from the Sendai and the epicentre of the disaster. Heather has been living and working in Japan for 15 years. She's a teacher and she does lots of gigs as a jazz singer. Karen called her - pretty late at night her time.

Bethanie Fitzgerald

bethanie.jpgBefore Christmas Karen Mair had a chat with Bethanie Fitzgerald ... she was on her way to a big fundraiser being thrown by friends and family on PEI as she prepared to travel to Vancouver for surgery.
Bethanie has a rare form of cancer in her spine.
Lots of us kept tabs through facebook as she went through her surgery, started her recovery and got back to PEI.
Bethanie Fitzgerald walked with determination and the help of a hiking pole into the Mainstreet studio.
