CBC Radio's Mainstreet in Halifax is searching for the best teen rock band in Nova Scotia. All members of the band must be high school or junior high students (or home schooled kids in that age group). To enter, create a profile on the CBC Radio 3 website, and upload a recording to your profile. Then email us a link to your Radio 3 profile - at firstname.lastname@example.org - and include the names of the members of your band, their ages, and what school(s) you go to.
The song entered must be something the band members have written themselves, or in collaboration with other high school or junior high students in Nova Scotia (or home schooled kids in that age group). The recording must be a performance created entirely by the band members. It can't have any pre-programmed electronic accompaniment, or musical contributions by people who aren't in the band.
You cannot win this contest without performing your song live on Mainstreet and in front of our judges, so there's no point entering a recording that you can't reproduce reasonably well in a concert setting.
