ACAP's Big Year
Executive director Susan King and Education manager Hannah MacDonald
It's their twentieth year working on environmental issues in this community, and there are lots of events planned over the coming year to celebrate.The first happens tonight with a kick-off at the ACAP offices in Sydney. There will be live music, some eats and a guest speaker.

John McDermott can recall the precise moment when he realized that giving up his day job and making singing his full-time career had been the right decision. That moment came at 8 pm on October 5th, 1993 at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax as he walked on stage to a full house and a thunderous East Coast welcome. It was his first concert with his own band, and he was received with such wild encore-inducing enthusiasm the concert turned into a 4 hour marathon. John was hooked!
