The 2012 CFL season lasted just two games for Edmonton Eskimos slotback Adarius Bowman.
Bowman, who turns 27 on Tuesday, is done after tearing knee ligaments in Sunday's loss in Regina to the Saskatchwan Roughriders.
"Unfortunately, we received confirmation today that Adarius has torn both the ACL and MCL in his left knee, which is obviously terrible news for this young man and our club," Eskimos general manager Eric Tillman said in a statement Monday. "The rehabilitation process from this injury is normally nine to 10 months, and our prayers will be with him for a full recovery. Adarius is blessed with a very competitive drive and spirit, and that tenacity will be one of his greatest assets during this process."
After previous stints with the Riders and Winnipeg, the six-foot-three Bowman set career highs with 62 catches and 1,153 yards in 2011.
