A Saskatoon woman is still shaking her head after coming across a burglar in her kitchen snacking on some leftover fries from KFC.

"I was scared, but it was really interesting," Jena Grigorovich said Thursday about the unusual encounter in her home on the 400 block of Avenue R South.

Grigorovich, 18, explained that around 10:30 p.m. CST Wednesday night she heard a noise coming from the main floor of her home.

"I was sitting in my room and I was hearing little noises," she said. "I just thought it was my cat."

Oddly enough, her cat's name is Bandit.

Even more oddly, the noises were coming from a would-be burglar who had the munchies.

"He went in our fridge and got out some of our KFC fries and was eating it," Grigorovich said.

She quickly called police.

By the time they arrived, her father — who was napping on the couch — had awoken and chased the man outside.

Police said they arrested a 22-year-old man nearby and charged him with breaking and entering.
