Canada's Michael Roy 5th at snowboard world championships

Michael Roy was the top Canadian at the FIS Snowboard World Championships on Saturday. The L'Ange Guardian Que., native finished fifth with 129.00 points.

Roope Tonteri continued his dominance at the Stoneham, Que., event on Saturday.

The Finnish rider total of 188.50 points to top Sweden's Niklas Mattsson (177.75) and Belgium's Seppe Smits (149.50) on the podium

The 20-year-old Tonteri also took gold in Friday's slopestyle event.
