Ricky Ray named CFL's top weekly offensive performer

Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray was named Canadian Football League offensive player of the week Tuesday after leading Toronto to a 31-26 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Ray completed 24 of 30 passes for 305 yards and four touchdowns. He also added five yards on two carries.

Teammate Andre Durie took the top Canadian honour. The Toronto slotback, a native of Mississauga, Ont., scored two touchdowns and hauled in six catches for 40 yards.

Calgary Stampeders lineman Anwar Stewart was named defensive player of the week. He had four tackles and a career-high four sacks in Calgary's 41-21 win over the B.C. Lions.

B.C. kick returner Tim Brown was named special teams player of the week.

He had 150 yards on six kickoff returns and added another 81 yards and a touchdown on five punt returns.
