Man charged for following, watching women in bathrooms

Ottawa police have charged a 32-year-old Quebec man for allegedly following women into downtown washrooms.

The man, who is from Gatineau, Que., faces five counts of voyeurism for incidents that police said happened between Jan. 3 and 17.

Police allege the man either followed lone women into public washrooms or hid inside the washroom waiting for a woman to enter.

The man then tried to watch the woman go to the bathroom, police said.
