
A woman and her two children died in a fiery head-on crash near Manitou, Man., RCMP say.
The crash, involving a van and a truck happened around 7 a.m. CT on Highway 3, about six kilometres west of Manitou.
According to police the driver of the van drifted into the oncoming lane of traffic and crashed head-on into the truck. The van burst into flames, police said. The driver, a 22-year-old woman from the rural municipality of Turtle Mountain, and her two children died in the crash.
The children were a girl, 1, and a boy, 5.
Police said the truck driver, 31, was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There are detours in effect and RCMP are on the scene.
Manitou is located about 140 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg.
