PART 1 Quebec musician Gilles Losier's family farm lies idle, surrounded by new subdivisions. Armed with a special song written for the occasion he goes back to help tear down the old barn. When Stacey Loewen's father died one of the most precious things he left behind was his daily diary of life on the farm. City slicker Ian Reid's parents left him in charge of their farm while they go on vacation and it's lambing season!
PART 2 Judith Toib returns to the rural commune where she once lived to put some emotional 'ghosts' to rest. Hillary Lindsay left a city job and bought an old family farm to find the farmer who'd retired was watching her every move. Trucker and self confessed dreamer Harry Rudolfs is annoyed because he's too young to have lived through the "youthquakes" of the 1960's. So he sets out to find hippies and 'back to the landers' in the Ottawa valley.
