June 17th ... 14 days to summer...


Stay satisfied with protein. Including a protein source at every meal and snack will help you stay satisfied for longer and control hunger and calorie intake later in the day. When paired with carbohydrates, protein helps to slow down and reduce the rise in blood sugar after a meal leading to longer lasting energy. Include at least 1 serving of protein at each meal. 1 serving = 3 oz. of beef, poultry, fish, or seafood; 2 medium eggs or 4 egg whites; ¾ cup of cottage cheese, yogurt, beans, legumes, or tofu; 1 cup of milk; or ¼ cup of nuts or seeds.
