Ingredients

1-1/2 cups (375 mL) PC Organics Quick Oats

½ cup (125 mL) flax seeds

½ cup (125 mL) sliced almonds

½ tsp (2 mL) cinnamon

½ cup (125 mL) liquid honey

1 tbsp (15 mL) PC Blue Menu Omega Oil

½ cup (125 mL) raisins

Easy Flax Granola

Make home-made granola on Sunday to enjoy all week. Flax is a wonderful source of omega-3 polyunsaturated fat, beneficial to coronary health and brain development. Substitute your favourite nut if desired, such as pecans or walnuts.

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.


In bowl, stir together oats, flax seeds, almonds and cinnamon. In small bowl, stir together honey and oil; pour over dry ingredients and stir to coat. Pour onto prepared baking sheet, spreading in thin layer.


Bake in centre of oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden. Cool completely. Use hands to break into small pieces. Stir in raisins. Store in airtight container.
