Fit in physical activity whenever you can. Even if you are a dedicated gym goer, it is recommended that you still remain active for the rest of the day. Research has linked sitting time with a higher risk of some chronic diseases. Regular activity can help you burn calories and boost energy and mood. If you find yourself sedentary most of the day, try to get up and move around at least once an hour. Think about ways to build activity into your day: get off public transit one stop early, park your car a few streets away, go for a planned walk at lunch, take the stairs instead of the elevator. While it might feel like you don't have the time, once you start it gets easier to fit physical activity in with the rest of your priorities.
