A: The purpose of Live Right Now is to engage communities across the country in the search to find the Live Right Now Capital of Canada.
Q: Do I have to join a community to participate?
A: Yes. In order for your individual score to be tracked, you must join a community.
Q: What does the 'me' drop-down menu do?
A: The 'me' tab in the top right drop-down menu will show your personal point count, the current Community you are joined with and the point count for your Community.
Q: What does the 'sort by' drop-down menu do?
A: The 'sort by' drop-down menu will allow you to switch the way the information in your feed is organized.
Q: Different members of my household would like to participate using the LRN app but when they try to Connect With Facebook it automatically connect through my account. How can I allow more than one person to connect and interact with the app from the same computer?
A: No problem. It's easy. Just sign out of Facebook between each user. If you've set the Facebook log in to 'Remember me', you must uncheck that box upon sign in. If the problem persists, please clear your browsers cache before trying to sign in under a different user.
Q: How Do I clear my cache?
A: In most search engines you can simply hit CTRL,SHIFT and DELETE at the same time to choose what you want to clear. If that doesn't work, follow the directions below for the engine you're using:
Click the wrench icon on the top right of your screen.
Click on 'Tools'.
Click on 'Clear Browsing Data'.
A list of options will appear - Make sure 'Empty the cache' is checked.
Uncheck everything else.
Click on the 'Firefox' menu in the top left corner.
Click on 'History', then 'Clear Recent History'.
Make sure 'Details' is expanded, and select Cache.
Uncheck everything else.

Click on 'Tools'
Click on 'Delete Browsing History'.
Select 'Temporary Internet Files'.
Uncheck all other boxes.
Q: What are points?
A: Points are what you gain from engaging with the app. Points determine your individual score and thus increase your communities score as well.
Q: What do I need points for?
A: Points help your community become the Live Right Now capital of Canada. The points each member obtains are combined into a single score representing the score of your community.
Q: How do I gain points?
A: Points are obtained by completing Challenges and Events, getting public advertising from Challenges or Events, or by uploading and sharing content within your community via Groups and Events.
Q: How do I know the amount of points I get for different actions?
A: When members want to commit to a challenge, they will be shown how many points that specific challenge is worth once completed.
Q: I went to an Event, but I didn't get points for it. Why?
A: When an Event has ended, members must confirm their attendance by going to their Activity tab, Event tab, or Challenges tab and selecting the past event for which they wish to redeem points. Once they have selected their Event, they need to complete a short survey to confirm their attendance.
Q: What are Spirit Points and how do you get them?
A: Each month 500 "spirit points" will be up for grabs for the community that most embodies the spirit of the initiative. On January 31st, February 29th and March 19th during the Competition Period, the points will be issued to one community, chosen by CBC in its sole discretion, based on the following criteria:

Q: What is a Live Right Now Group?
A: A Live Right Now Group is a way for members to discuss and organize events collaboratively with other members who associate themselves with the Group.
Q: Why should I make a Live Right Now Group?
A: Creating a Live Right Now Group allows you to communicate with a smaller group of people who hold common interests and may be more relevant to connect with than your community as a whole. Creating Groups, arranging Group Events, and uploading content is a great way to promote the Live Right Now spirit as well as a way to earn points.
Q: How do I make a Live Right Now Group?
A: You can create a Live Right Now Group in one of two ways:
Via the Live Right Now App
Click the "+Group" button in the main navigation of the Live Right Now app, which is located below your Profile picture.
On the left hand side bar in Facebook, underneath the small profile picture and your user name, there are multiple apps and Facebook utilities you can click. Scroll close to the bottom of the sidebar, until you get to the Groups section. Within this section there is a "Create Group" link. Click this link, which will take you to the Create Group page. Fill out the required information and click "Create Group."
Q: How do I join a Group?
A: Similar to joining a regular Group on Facebook, find the Group you would like to join, select join, and you will be added to the Group.
Q: How do I upload pictures/videos to my Group?
A: When you are in your own Live Right Now Group on Facebook, you should see a link that says "Add Photo/Video" above the wall on the front page of the Group. Click this link, and you will be presented with a drop down menu. Choose 'Upload Photo/Video' and a new menu will appear, with a caption box (in which you can place a description) above a button that says 'Choose File'. Click this button, pick the photo or video that you want to upload from your hard drive and post your submission.
Q: How do I create 'Documents' in my Group?
A: At the top of your Live Right Now Facebook Group, just underneath the name of your Group, there is a blue link that says 'Docs'. Click this link, and you will be taken to a page where you will be able to create and post your document.
Q: How do I change information that I have previously added to my Group description?
A: You will only be able to alter Group information, such as descriptions and profile pictures, if you are an administrator within that Group. Creators of Groups are automatically made administrators of their Group, and can choose which Group members they wish to give the status of administrator.
Q: How do I find Live Right Now Groups?
A: You can find Live Right Now Groups by searching for them via Facebook using the special suffix tag "CBC LRN" to search for them.
When creating a Group, make sure to include the suffix "CBC LRN" in the Group title, to ensure that it is recognized as an official Live Right Now Group. Not including this suffix tag within your Group will prevent your activities from counting for your Community
Q: Why do I have to follow naming conventions for my Groups?
A: If you do not include the suffix tag "CBC LRN" in the Group title, your activities will not count towards your community. It could also be difficult for people who want to join your Group to find it.
Q: How do I leave a Group?
A: At the top right corner of the home page of your Facebook Group, there is an image of a gear within a grey box. Click this to reveal a drop down menu. Click the 'Leave Group' button in that menu.
Q: What is a Live Right Now Event?
A: A Live Right Now Event is a way for members to engage themselves in the Live Right Now spirit and help their community become the Live Right Now Capital of Canada.
Q: Why should I make a Live Right Now Event?
A: Creating a Live Right Now Event allows you to be in control of the things you and other members of your Group or community can do together in order to earn points and promote the Live Right Now spirit.
Q: How do I make a Live Right Now Event?
A: You can create a Live Right Now Event in one of two ways:
Via the Live Right Now App
Click the "+Event" button located in the top area of the Live Right Now app, right below your profile picture. This will take you directly to the Facebook Event creation page. Fill out the Event creation form and you are set!
On the left hand side bar in Facebook, underneath a small profile picture and your user name, there are multiple apps and Facebook utilities you can click. Scroll down in the sidebar until you see the "Events" link which should be located near the top, almost right underneath your name. This will take you to the Events page. At the top center of the Events page, there is a button that says "+Create Event". Click this, and then fill out the Event creation form. Once completed, just click 'Create Event', and you are set!
Q: How do I attend an Event?
A: Similar to attending a regular Event, clicking join" changes your status to "attending" the event."
Q: How do I upload a photo/video/link to a Event?
A: Just above the wall of the Event, there should be a variety of links. Click the link according to which action you want to do (ie. Post a photo, video or link), and you will be prompted to upload or post the requisite material.

Q: How many Live Right Now Events can I be a part of?
A: There's no limit to the number of Events that you can be a part of. Creating Events, getting active and healthy and promoting the Live Right Now spirit is what Live Right Now is all about!

A: When an Event has been completed, members can see all of their completed Events at the top of their activity and Events tab. Members can click the 'plus' icon to the right of the past Events, select 'confirm attendance' and complete a small survey created by the Event creator.
Q: What is a Live Right Now Challenge?
A: A Live Right Now Challenge is an Event created to specifically promote a certain healthy activity across Canada. Whether it be drinking one less cup of coffee a day or doing 20 jumping jacks every hour, Challenges are designed to get you and your community moving. Completing Challenges awards you more points than attending a regular event, so make sure to complete as many as you can.
Q: How do I find Live Right Now Challenges?
A: Live Right Now challenges can be found by searching via Facebook and using the suffix tag "CBC LRN" when you search.
Q: How many Live Right Now Challenges can I be a part of?
A: There's no limit to the number of Challenges that you can be a part of. Committing to Challenges, completing them with friends and promoting the Live Right Now spirit is what Live Right Now is about!
Q: How do I attend a Challenge?
A: Similar to attending a regular Event, members join and change their status to 'attending'.
Q: How do I confirm my attendance for a challenge?
A: Once a challenge event has ended, click the Challenges tab via the Stream page. You will see all of your completed challenges. Click Confirm Attendance" for the Challenge you want to complete, and a popup will appear asking you a few questions pertaining to the Challenge itself. Fill out the popup, click "Confirm Attendance" and you are done! Your points will be awarded and the challenge will be marked as complete."
Q: What are my different sharing options?
A: Members can either share to Facebook or Twitter by selecting the 'plus' button. Once pressed, the 'plus' button will open a menu where you can select which sharing method you would like to use.
Q: How can I share my pictures, videos, comments and event statuses I have already uploaded to the Live Right Now app?
A: Sharing is easy in the Live Right Now app. When there's a piece of content that you want to share via Facebook or Twitter, simply select the content you want to share, and a pop-up menu will appear and provide the different Social actions you can choose from: Share to Twitter or Share to Facebook.
Q: What is the Stream Tab?
A: The Stream tab is where all of your relevant information regarding your community is stored. The different secondary tabs consist of the following:,

- My Events
Q: What is the Tips and Articles Tab?
A: The Tips and Articles tab is filled with Editorial content from CBC's website to show a quick snapshot of all the different items that CBC has posted.
Q: What is the Leaderboard Tab?
A: The Leaderboard tab showcases the leading individuals and the leading communities in Live Right Now, and will display the point values for each.
Q: What is the Add Group Tab?
A: The Add Group tab is a quick way to make a group. By clicking the tab, you will be directed to Facebook in a separate window. It will provide instructions on how to properly complete a Live Right Now Group.
Q: What is the Add Event Tab?
A: The Add Event tab is a quick way to make an Event. By clicking on the tab you will be directed to Facebook in another window with instructions on how to properly complete a Live Right Now Event.
Q: What is a Group feed?
A: The Group feed displays any activity and content posted by the Groups you are a member of. You will also be able to see other groups within your community, just not their content.
Q: What is an Event feed?
A: The Event feed displays all activity occurring in Events you have accepted past or present, as well as any Event you have been invited to.
