Avoid added sugar. Sugar is absorbed quickly leading to a spike and drop in blood sugar. This can leave you feeling tired, hungry and craving more sugar. The more you eat it, the more you may want it. It is best to choose foods with little or no added sugar. It's easy to make complete meals out of plain yogurt, oatmeal and milk simply by adding a few nuts, spices and fruit. A couple on-the-go options that I like are Jordan's muesli and Kashi "chewy" granola bars.
