An Apple a Day

June 20th ... 11 days to summer...


Eat an apple before or after a meal. Apples are high in soluble fibre, which lingers in the stomach and helps slow down and reduce the rise in blood sugar. Pair an apple with a protein for a complete snack such as 20-30 g of cheese, 12-13 almonds, or ¾ cup of yogurt or cottage cheese.
