A few questions for you, and your favourite CBC/Radio-Canada hosts, too...
Is radio thriving, or just surviving?
What role does radio play in the lives of Canadians?
What's the future of radio at CBC/Radio-Canada, and beyond?
For the answers, you'll want to take in CBC/Radio-Canada's Annual Public Meeting. Happening Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Toronto's Glenn Gould Studio, some of the most respected names in Canadian broadcasting will be tackling those topics and more in a discussion that ponders the future of radio at the Mother Corps and beyond.
Hosted by Mark Kelley (The Fifth Estate) and Catherine Lafrance (Radio-Canada), the day's panel includes Anna Maria Tremonti (The Current), Matt Galloway (Metro Morning), Rebecca Makonnen (Circuit Makonnen), Jean-Sebastien Bernatchez (L'heure du monde) and Steve Patterson (The Debaters).
And it also includes you -- no matter where you are in Canada.
The whole discussion, which is preceded by presentations from CBC/Radio-Canada's Chair, CEO and CFO, will be streamed online between 11:30 and 1 p.m. ET, and following the moderated discussion, Kelley and Lafrance will turn things over to the audience for a Q&A with everyone on stage.
Start brainstorming those questions now -- though we can guess what you'll want to ask first: How do I watch?
