Canadian soldiers March to the Top of Island Peak


March To The Top; a feature length documentary of a group of 12 injured soldiers on a quest to climb 20,305 feet to the top of Island Peak in Nepal, is making its world television premiere in a few days. This moving film allows viewers to follow the soldiers every step of the way, from training to the climb, as they rediscovered themselves and heal their emotional, physical and mental battle scars.


A few months ago, we first spoke to soldiers David MacDonald and Peter Burcew, as well as director Ben Webster, about the journey behind March to the Top. Last week, we caught up with them again, along with special guest Don Cherry of Hockey Night in Canada, at the screening of the film. Take a look:

The full length March to the Top premieres Sunday Feb. 17 at 8 pm on documentary A one-hour version of the film will air Monday Feb. 18 at 8 pm on CBC
